Bodywork Company – AUDITIONS



Bodywork Company Cambridge, EUROPEAN AUDITIONS 2017

Bodywork Company will be visiting Cyprus to hold external auditions for places on our course in Cambridge, UK.

Venue: ‘Dance House Lefkosia’ Nicosia, Cyprus

Date: 05.11.2017

Time: 0900hrs – 1800hrs

Cost: 50 EUROS

Audition Requirements: All applicants will partake in a Ballet class & Jazz class. They will need to prepare a dance solo in any genre & prepare a song solo. These will be performed in front of the Director and her assistant. NO monologue/acting will be required.

We will also be offering a Contemporary Workshop with Elena Gavriel – Elena, originally from Limassol, Cyprus,  studied at Bodywork Company, Cambridge, UK  and graduated in 2014 with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance and has since worked with Chrysalis London – Contemporary Dance  and now teaches professional classes at Bodywork Company.

These auditions are for September 2018 & 2019 entry onto our full time courses studying at our Cambridge based College in the UK.

Courses we offer:

· Three year Diploma Level 6 in Professional Dance or Musical Theatre
· One year Foundation course Grade 8 Musical Theatre
· BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Performing Arts

Bodywork Company is offering one ‘Scholarship’ place to the most talented applicant for the academic year 2018!!

Applicants should be 15yrs – 20yrs have previous training in performing arts & performance.

A Brief History

Bodywork Company Dance Studios was founded in 1981 by Theresa and Patrick Kerr, who were leading professionals in the world of dance and music. The school grew from a series of classes taught in and around Cambridge as well as a professional touring company, the Bodywork Dance Company. Theresa was also teaching jazz for major performing arts colleges in London and Patrick was touring with the jazz company.
